Hey Fam, Friends, and random creeps on my blog!
I kind of fell off the face of the earth for a little and I know you are all just dying to hear about my
boring life huh?;) Well some of you HAVE been asking how lake powell was and let me just say..
IT WAS AH-MAZING.
And now I finally have the time to write about it! I can't wait for you to read all about it! So here ya go!
As long as I can remember I have always wanted to go to lake powell with my close friends. And
thankfully I have the sweetest, most darning friends I could ever want. We are pretty much sisters :).
We grew up together and pretty much do everything together.. Most friends drift off or go separate
ways later on but we have been together since the beginning! Thats why this trip was so fun…because
there was no drama, no cliques, nothing..Just a bunch of girls having fun!
Anyways, we had an ENTIRE week at lake powell.. Sunday-Sunday! It was HEAVEN! If you
haven't been there pack your bags RIGHT NOW…And I mean it.. you go and see what I am talking
about! Or this post is probably really confusing to you and you are probably wondering, " whats so
great about a week at a smelly lake..I have one 30 min away thats just fine."..Uh Nope Lake powell is
Lake powell.. Cant beat it. I think you will know what I mean after you see some pictures..Every day
we were out in the water. We went boating, tubing, wake boarding, knee boarding, Zep boarding etc
etc.! We played games, danced, tanned, explored and to sum it up..we never wanted it to end.
It was the good life.
And not to mention… it is so BEAUTIFUL there! I think my favorite part was sleeping on top of the
houseboat because you can see so many stars it's crazy. Oh and there was no cell service.. which to
some people is crazy because they can't live without their little box but to me I loved every minute of it!
I loved that we all just talked and had fun without that distraction always there..We got a break from
the world and I think it's better that way!
As I am writing this I seriously have no idea how to sum the whole thing up… It was so fun..especially
for me because the times I have gone to Lake Powell something always bad happens.. I enjoyed the
trips but we have some curse or something…usually it's the boat sinking, stranded and dying etc.. But
glad that curse didn't follow me! I am so grateful for such amazing friends and especially the Edwards
for taking all of us crazy girls! They really are the best.
Sad Goodbyes…
Sadly, once Lake Powell was over that meant that it was time to say goodbye to our best friend
Kristine… She left back to Norway the week we got back..It was so hard. I have never had to say
goodbye to one of my best friends so coming together for that was really hard for all of us. Lets just say
we were the center of attention in the Airport! We all were wailing..literally like wailing and bawling
our eyes out.. I can only imagine how it going to be when our friend Brittany leaves on her Mission
next year!
Kristine is such an amazing girl.. She helped build all of our testimonies and helped us see
whats most important in life and and when she left I think we all had changed in some way. She is the
most amazing friend any girl could have! We can't wait to see her again!!
